The Redlands
may not be the first place you think of when you are planning a trip, but it’s a great place to visit with your family. It is located in San Bernardino County and is approximately 10 miles east of downtown San Bernardino. Redlands has many great tourism opportunities. The Splash Kingdom Waterpark features over 20 water slides including the 90ft tall Anilelater. Smiley Park is another great place to visit, located in downtown Redlands it is home to the Lincoln Shrine Museum/Research facility and the Redlands Bowl outdoor amphitheater. Redlands Bowl holds many festivals each year. The historic Fox Event Center is also located downtown and hosts a variety of events such as film festivals, comedy shows, concerts and dinner theater.
The Redlands is one of the oldest cities in California and is known for its beautiful Victorian architecture. The Kimberly Crest House & Gardens is a beautiful place to visit. The estate is 6-¼ acres and is available for public and private tours. There is even a small museum and gift shop in the Carriage House, which was originally for horses.
