Visiting Hemet

Hemet is located in Riverside County, offering a Mediterranean climate great for enjoying the great outdoors. A popular tourist attraction in Hemet is the serene Diamond Valley Lake. The beautiful lake is perfect for fishing, boating or a nice quiet family picnic. Located along the lake is the Western Science Center Museum. The Science Center has a large collection of Native American artifacts and Ice age fossils. The historic Ramona Bowl Amphitheater is also a great place for the whole family to visit. Hemet is only a 30 minute drive from Temecula Valley Wineries. Temecula Valley Wineries include The South Coast Winery Resort & Spa,Vindemia Estate Winery,Falkner Winery and many others. Only 21.8 miles away from the city is the charming Lake Perris. Lake Perris has a variety of trails for biking, horseback riding and hiking. The whole family can swim or scuba dive at either Moreno Beach or Perris Beach. Lake Perris is also a great place to take a relaxing fishing trip. The Lake Perris Museum is filled with Native American history from various Southern California tribes.
